Let me explain how the Excise Inspector Mains syllabus is different.
The Abkari Act Focus: A significant 18 marks are dedicated specifically to the Abkari Act, NDPS Act (Narcotics), and COTPA (Tobacco). It is the "Technical" core of the exam.
Natural Justice & IT Act: Similar to other uniform posts, the Principles of Natural Justice (Governance section) and Cyber Law (IT Act) remain critical, though the IT Act weightage is lower here (2 marks).
Physics & Chemistry: These sections are retained here (3 marks each), emphasizing a broader scientific base for Excise Inspectors who may handle chemical-related contraband or distillery inspections.
